Ingredients
You will require 1 ½ pounds of flank steak (optionally take boneless beef sirloin steak) for this recipe
Use 2 teaspoon of Minced Garlic by McCormick
Use 1 teaspoon of grounded Cumin by McCormick
Use 1 teaspoon of Oregano Leaves by McCormick (these leaves add a unique aroma to your steaks)
Add 0.5 teaspoon of Crushed red pepper (you can leave this out if you are putting together the same steaks for children)
Add 1 teaspoon of Salt
Add 3 tablespoon of olive oil
Add 0.25 cup of fresh lemon juice
You will require 1 big pineapple that has been peeled and cut into little slices. Alternatively, you can use 1 canned pineapple.
Directions
  • Take a small deep bowl and include garlic, cumin, oregano and salt together. Mix Red Pepper if you desire to serve spicy steak.
  • Marinate your well cut steak pieces with olive oil and half of the above spice mixture. Add the lime juice on the pieces for a unique flavor.
  • Leave the marinated steaks in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, to ensure the spices have well blended into the meat.
  • For the first step, place the pineapple chunks on the skewers of your griller. Make sure you cook them on medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes. Remember to keep turning sides of the pineapple chunks to cook uniformly on all sides.
  • Now place your well marinated steaks on the grill and cook on medium heat for 6 to 7 minutes. Keep pouring the left over spice mixture on both sides of the steak and heat till the steaks are well done from all sides.
  • Place the pineapple chunks on the steaks and serve your hot, juicy and delicious steaks.
