Fruit Blast Smoothie << Back
With the weather getting unbearably hot, who doesn’t want to quench their thirst with a drink that cools you from within and energizes you for the rest of the day? Smoothies are great to beat the summer heat for both kids and adults. They give you an instant nutrition boost, and are perfect when you have little time in hand to fix something that would get you going for next few hours.

Smoothies can be prepared with any summery fruit and are full of vitamins, antioxidants and fiber which can only be found in fresh fruits. The best thing about these smoothies is, they are pretty easy to make (even kids can give it a try) and the addition of egg gives you an immediate protein punch. So no more fetching the blender from in and out of kitchen cabinets, keep them handy and quickly fix a smoothie to fuel yourself and your family…
The recipe for a smoothie below requires six different seasonal fruits and one raw egg. Gone are the times when you would think twice before adding a fresh-cracked egg to your drink (out of risk of food borne illness from salmonella or other bacteria). Today you have an option to use raw eggs available from Safest Choice Pasteurized Shell Eggs. These eggs have been processed to ensure their safe usage for consuming them just as they are. These eggs have been pasteurized in a shell with a warm water bath and can be identified with a “P” written within a red circle.

Ingredients
Take 1 c green or red seedless grapes
Take 1/2 c frozen cherries
Take 1/2 c frozen strawberries
Take 1/2 c peeled and sliced orange
Take 1/2 c peeled and sliced banana
Add 2 Safest Choice™ pasteurized shell egg(s)
Take 1/2 c frozen blueberries
Preparation
To prepare a mouth-watering drink that will leave you feeling cool all over, get 1 c grapes without seeds. Take ½ c of frozen Cherries, blueberries and strawberries. These fruits add a unique flavor to your smoothie. Now peel and slice ½ c of orange and ½ c of banana. Ensure that orange seeds don’t get into your drink or they will ruin the taste of your smoothie. Now take your blender jug, and put all fruits into it (fresh and frozen). Blend them well till you achieve a smooth mixture. Lastly, take 2 raw eggs and add into your drink. This will add a protein punch to your drink. Serve in nice wine glasses with some ice cubes. The smoothie has a light pink color and tastes fantastic when chilled…Trust me, this fruit smoothie is not just good…it’s good for you!
